Add Basemodo's connector to your Claude account with one link, then sign in: it works on the web, in the desktop app and in the mobile app.

Set up

The connector is Basemodo's Remote MCP, which Claude acts through, and whose instructions teach it how to use Basemodo. On a computer, open Add Basemodo to Claude: claude.ai opens with Basemodo's name and address filled in, for you to check and Add.

In the Claude mobile app, which takes connectors but no plugins: tap your profile at the bottom left, then Connectors, the + at the top right, and Custom connector. Name it Basemodo and enter this as its URL, with no OAuth client ID or secret:

A connector belongs to your Claude account: add it once, on the web or on your phone, and it is also in the Claude desktop and mobile apps.

Then sign in: select Connect on the connector. Claude takes you to basemodo.com, which asks you to approve Claude. Approve it, and Claude acts as you through its Agent Grant. In a conversation, turn Basemodo on from the + menu, under Connectors.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds it for the organization instead, with the same link for Owners, or in Organization settings, Connectors: Add, then Custom, then Web, with the same URL. Each member then finds Basemodo under Customize, Connectors, with the Custom label, and selects Connect to sign in as themselves.

With the Claude app on your computer, the basemodo command does more: Claude Code, in the app, deploys the folders on your computer, with no GitHub repository. Claude Code has the line that installs it.

The Plugin

Basemodo's Skills, which teach Claude when and how to use Basemodo, with the same connector, for claude.ai and the desktop app (the mobile app takes no plugins). Open Customize, Plugins, choose Add, then Add marketplace, and enter:

Basemodo is then among your plugins: select it, then Add. Open it, and on its Connectors tab add Basemodo's connector, then select Connect. Keep the Plugin or the connector alone, not both: the Plugin already adds this connector (one way per client). The Plugin is on your Claude account, so it is also in Claude Code signed in with the same account.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner chooses whether members may add a marketplace of their own, and adds the connector for the organization: if you cannot, ask one to add it, then connect it as yourself.

There is no local MCP on claude.ai: it runs on Anthropic's servers, which cannot start a command on your computer. For the local MCP, use Claude Desktop; to deploy a folder on your computer, Claude Code.

What it needs

A Claude plan: Free, Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise. On Free, you can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, only an Owner adds one (on Enterprise, also a member whose role manages the organization's libraries). The Remote MCP deploys a GitHub repository, so your code goes to Basemodo through GitHub.
